Open house

I tried to edit my visit report from last year to reflect the open house we attended today, but CC wouldn't let me.

D had a second visit to Juniata today. Attended a fall open house. She is still very impressed with the school. All the students we encountered were very friendly (two students saw us look a little lost and asked us if we needed directions). We ate lunch with a current student who was very welcoming and forthcoming with information. We also had a tour, which differed in what we were shown from last year. The dorm room seems a little larger than those at other schools. We ate lunch in the cafeteria. Food was fine for D who has a very limited diet. Someone who likes more exotic food might not be happy with it. Met with a theater professor who explained the program Seems like a very interesting program because it works with professionals (Gravity Theater Project). Campus is clean and safe. The town is nothing to really write home about. It is a somewhat run down depressed PA town; however there are sufficient restaurants for students and some shopping opportunities (WALMART, Peebles). There is a five screen movie theater in town also.

This school is still very high on D's list.

Thanks for posting this update, holliesue. My d has her off-campus interview this weekend. She’s looking forward to getting more information about the school, as she hasn’t visited and won’t be able to visit until next spring.

cocoa-have been there twice now. feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
