So I kinda bombed spanish lit.. I knew I would once they mailed the free response and I saw that the last question asked for 2 distinct short answers rather than one big essay which BSed its way around both (guess which one I did... Though in my defense my teacher told me it would always be essays so I figured I'd just save tine since no one reads directions on standardized tests ie SATs) anyway my teacher emailed cb because another kid in my class did that too and she wanted to see how badly our scores would be affected. Turns out the best we could hope for was a 4. I of course got a 3. And this was after my dancing around and being all happy from 5s on lit and US history :( I took the class Spanish 5 ap so am I completely screwed? Can I hide it from colleges or will they be suspicious? I aced the class though ugh this makes me so mad. And if I did show it to them would it make me look bad?

bump… I know everyone’s obsessing about their scores now, but it doesn’t take too much effort to respond to this then go back to the post your scores threads…

Just FYI, you don’t need to bump a thread unless no one responds for more than a day or so. It stays on the front page, so at some point in time, someone will respond.

Otherwise, colleges don’t know your AP scores if you don’t put them on your application. They’re all self-reported. However, a 3 is passing. It’s up to you, but not letting colleges know your score could lead to one of two assumptions. 1. You didn’t take the AP test. 2. You got a 1 or 2. A 3 isn’t terrible, especially for a non-native speaker, so I say leave it.

I would be very surprised if CB gave you any substantive answer. And a 3 on Spanish Lit is not detrimental to your college application by any means.

I agree. I’ve heard that the world language APs are the hardest APs so a 3 is definitely not bad.
