Opinions of early action candidate's day

I think that Villanova did an amazing job showcasing the school. All sessions were informative, the tours were terrific, the food good and the school spirit is the best I've seen. Kudos to the organizers and The Blue Society!

An absolutely amazing day that was well thought out, extremely informative, loaded with great information about the school, great food, and very inspiring speeches. Everyone could not do enough to make sure we were happy. The crowds of students welcoming us from the parking lot to the Pavillon was terrific. An all around great day!! Kudos.

I’m an accepted Early Action student and it has been the front runner for me enrolling for the fall. Literally from the minute I got there they treated the students like celebrities and it was awesome to see soooo many students come out for this. All the students were friendly and genuinely love VU. All the sessions were informative and I loved every aspect of the school. Who ever organized the entire day deserves a medal they really made the students want to come to their school. Lets just say there’s a 90% this will be my home for the next four years!!!

We went to the Open House Villanova had in the fall and then again this past weekend to early action candidate’s day. We were so impressed that several of the professors my son spoke with in the fall remembered him when we visited again. How many schools can you say that about? All the students were so friendly - not just the blue key kids but students all over the campus that we talked to all seemed genuinely happy to be there and so forthcoming with information. We also loved the activities fair, found out so much great information there and talked to a lot of kids that my son felt he could easily see fitting right in with.

On another note, my son applied for 9 schools, none have been as efficient as Villanova with communicating admissions, financial info and documents needed, etc. It really seems like Villanova has their act together. I am praying he’ll get a decent needs-based grant so Villanova becomes affordable to us - it’s by far his favorite school and has been since the moment he stepped on campus. FTR the other schools he liked and is considering are Georgetown, GWU, Fordham, Loyola, St. Johns. Georgetown and GWU are practically in our backyard, but Villanova just “felt” the most right from the start. Crossing my fingers and toes that it all works out and he’ll be headed that way this August.
