Opinions on college please?

I'm currently a junior at my highschool in New York. I've been thinking of so many schools and I'd love some input. I've been thinking of Union, Boston College, Quinnipiac, York, and Stonybrook.
Intended major-Psychology
Sport-Swimming (Plus all other sports to watch (baseball)!)
Size-Preferably small,
Good campus, very together, friendly. Some sororities and frats, not too much partying but I definitely want some fun!
Pleas give me any information you may have :)

I've heard Stonybrook's campus looks like crap- as in the buildings and architecture just look depressing. It's also larger because it's a state school, so that's obviously not a plus for you.

Union sounds like an awesome choice. It's a great school and is a small, close-knit kind of place that has frats and partying but it definitely isn't overwhelming.

I live down the street fro Quinnipiac and my high school sends quite a few people there every year. The campus is absolutely beautiful with a lot of open green spaces, and is right across the street from some fairly nice hikes up Sleeping Giant. It has a bit of a reputation as a party school, but from what I understand its avoidable.

Union's campus is not located in the safest place.

Union itself, however, is quite safe. But it is in a city that's having some tough economic times. If you exercise some "street smarts", Union is just as safe an any other campus.

Yeah, my dad actually works at Union and I live pretty close to it, but I don't really know the campus life. But thank you all for your help, it's definitely helping me.

Jillybean, I grew up about 1-2 miles from Union, and my mom worked there. I agree, it's a very nice school. Very pretty. Close knit student body, and nice professors.

Oh really? Who's your mom? I might know her

Union is supposed to be great.

Union College is a great choice.
