Hi! I just had my audition at Carnegie Mellon this morning and I just wanted to hear opinions/other experiences?
I applied as an acting major only, not for the MT program.
So I went to Barb, did my comedic piece from Tartuffe by Moliere, she laughed a little at the end of it.
Took a beat.
Then did my dramatic piece from The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman.
Finished that.
She asked if I had anything else to show her so I did a monologue from Costal Disturbances and before I began she said I wouldn’t have to do the whole mono, so she stopped me in the middle.
Said I did well, sat down and chatted said I loved the campus, she asked where else I was applying and said I did great and sent me out.
Does this mean anything?!?!? Thanks!
It sounds like you had a good audition, congratulations! However, a lot of people have good auditions and don’t get in. You’ll just have to wait and see. Good luck.
