How well did my CMU Acting audition go?

I just had my acting audition at Carnegie Mellon, and at this point I have no idea what they thought of me. My classical and contemporary monologues were from The Liar and The Four of Us, respectively. After asking me about what I do for theatre in high school, a very friendly auditioner told me to begin my monologues when ready. I delivered both, one after the other, they asked if I had any questions about CMU, and they told me they’d contact me in March. That was it. I was told beforehand by some current students that they’d probably work with you on your material and ask you to try some stuff, but that didn’t happen for me. I don’t know whether this is a good or bad thing, so if anyone else who has auditioned for CMU (or anywhere else, really) has any feedback or personal audition stories, I’d appreciate it! Thanks!

@NotWill I don’t think there is a way to tell. Did lots of research on CMU auditions and it appears some students get worked with and don’t get in, yet some do get in that were worked with and others aren’t worked with at all and then get in while others with similar audition experiences don’t. If you feel good about it, that is what matters at this point. It has been hard to accept, but it is out of our control now that auditions are over. We just wait until March. Good luck!

@bfahopeful Thanks, that helps a lot! Best of luck to you as well!
