How many people have actually brought their PS3/s(Playstation 3),Xbox 360's, or Wii's to college?
Should you bring it?
Just tell me what you think overall about bringing video games to college

Why not?

I mean, if you are worried that the temptation to spend all of your time playing video games will be too great, you have issues.

I don’t know, I wanna bring my Wii but I’m just worried somebody will steal/break it. It’s a good icebreaker to have those first few weeks because it gives people a reason to stop by your room.

I’ll be first to admit that I have issues, lol. I decided against bringing video games just cause I know I’ll play video games 24/7 if there in front of me.

lol

yea a wii would be a pretty good icebreaker

bump ppppp

the people who play 24/7 have no self control. If you have it bring it.

I know i’m bringing my ps2/psp/ds with me.

I bring my 360 (have a Wii too but leave it at home since I don’t play it as much). I find its a really good way to unwind before/after tests, etc. I only play 5-10 hours a week though.

Bring it if you want to, or leave it at home if you want to. It’s your own life.

that’s a lot

although I know someone who claims to have played video games 5 hours/day in the past. Now, he only plays 3 hours/day. I don’t understand how he’s still in school

I am bringing my wii. I know that I have no self control with video games and only play at all when I know I can play until I pass out without missing anything important. It works out okay, I don’t get to play very often but I enjoy it when I do and I imagine my friends will enjoy mario kart and tetris.

I’m bringing my psp/ds/gba with me, but not my PS3. Wish I was but a) I’m paranoid living in the dorm and b) it’s a fat 80gb. So it takes up a lot of space and…heat. But when I get an apartment I be bringin it!

I’d take mine with me. It’d give me something to do on weekends when I’m not studying/doing something artsy. Plus, I think I’d go crazy if I went too long without a good gaming day.

forget those systems

bring an N64

but seriously they are good ways to meet people, waste time, and be ice breakers. My video gaming time decreased significantly from HS to college even tho there was a gaming system in my room at all times

5-10 hours a week is like 1 hour a day, plus or minus a little… that is not a lot. People in college spend (or waste, depending on your point of view) time doing all kinds of things. It’s your free time. If you want to play some video games, go ahead. If you don’t bring it, you can’t play it. If you bring it, you can obviously choose not to play it.

yea 5 hours a week isnt bad at all

There’s no sense in playing video games everyday. I think it’s best to play video games on the weekends only. It’s really easy to get carried away on these things.

If a console is not stolen, it will be a time-waster. Leave it.

God knows that if you’re not going to be spending your time procrastinating on the Xbox you’ll be creeping on people on face book.

There’s no doubt you’ll waste time, might as well do something you like a lot.
