I realize that the main goal in passing your AP tests is to acquire college credit, but I was wondering what other opportunities are available to those who excel on many tests. So far out of six tests I've taken, I've gotten 5's, and I plan to up that number of 5's to 12-15 after next year's test administration. I pursue the 5's mainly because I think I can and I enjoy learning. I am just simply interested in the possible benefits of achieving my goal(with God's blessing of awesome teachers, study guides, and diligence). :) Thanks!

I don’t really get what you’re asking, but I do have similar enjoyment in receiving 5’s. Yes, it gives you a lot of personal pride and enjoyment, but besides college credit and the AP Scholar awards, it doesn’t have any other effect I think.

Is this a question, or are you just excited? lol CC is amazing…

My question is how achieving that goal can help me besides getting college credit, as in scholarships and other financial matters. My science teacher told me that Siemens had a scholarship for people who scored the most 5’s on the most science related tests, and I wonder if there are other opportunities like that one.

Oh I believe Siemens award is if you get 2 or more 5’s in science related, Calculus BC, or Computer Science AP’s and you’re entered in for a $2,000 scholarship. That’s the only one I believe.

If you’re from a less populated state you may be eligible for state AP scholar next year. It’s a meaningless but somewhat prestigious award.

if your college grants enough credits you can graduate in three years lol
