Optional Photograph = Acceptance?

<p>So I thought I would conduct a statistical analysis of the rate of admits who did or did not attach an optional photograph. (Obviously only ED applicants can currently answer.) So far I have just the applicants from my school:</p>

<p>Attached photograph = Accepted
Attached photograph = Rejected
Did not attach photograph = Deferred</p>

<p>Please add your statistics to the list - thanks! I will update with results once I have recieve a substantial amount of information. (Please do not include in the results your own judgement on your level of attractiveness, unless of course there are extenuating circumstances, such as severe facial hair, or pageant winning beauty)</p>

<p>honoestly i dont think they really care about the photograph, unless they recognize you personally or ur a famous figure.</p>

<p>The most interesting thing is that so far, none of those who attached got deferrals (and instead got rejections) and those who did not attach got no rejections (but a lot of deferrals)</p>

<p>Most of those who got rejected probably do not come to the Columbia board anymore.</p>

<p>Maybe the fact that the person attached a photograph reflects their whole transcript. The kind of people that attach photographs are qualified, where as the kind that don't attach aren't and don't feel the need to attach one because they don't think they'll get in regardless. So the photo doesn't get you in, but chances are, the kind of person that has a strong chance will attach a photo. I'm confusing myself...</p>
