For the supplement there's a section for independent study or research, I self-studied Psych in high school and got a 5. Does this count? Thanks!

although you should include that as part of your app, i think the supplemental research statement area is specifically for scholarly research you have conducted outside of school and usually is a summary or abstract of your work.

ok so how do i include that in my app?

there should be an additional info section on common app if i remember correctly…you can include that you self studied ap psych there.

Yeah, aabbcc1789 is correct. I did this Engineering Mentorship at Drexel University this summer, and did a bunch of research on nanopores. I’ve written lab reports and abstracts and all that, I think that’s what the research/independent study is.

Well I did research when I was abroad, but it wasn’t formal. It did get published, but only in a local newspaper. Is it ok to write about that?

I have a question! So, if I was working in a research lab over the summer, but the research wasn’t specifically mine (as in I didn’t come up with the idea and was an assistant to a grad student). At the end of the program, I created a poster and abstract statement and presented it. may I still enter the abstract?

yeah i’m pretty sure you can do that ^^^

yea im sure you can do that. but i was wondering is it good to only enter an abstract or should we include some additional background information…
