Does anyone know if the admission status shows up in OPUS before you get a letter in the mail?

It does. Actually, a letter of acceptance / rejection is posted up at OPUS..the same letter that is then mailed to you. IF you applied ED, it should be up already

im applying regular....so where do you find if you are accept or denied.

Yeah I dont see anything on there about application status under the application status link =/

if you're applying regular you won't find out about your decision until late march/early april. to find your admissions decision, sign into OPUS and click on "Admissions" if you have admissions decision letters available, there should be a link that says "View Your Decision Letter" under the "Next Steps" category (which is bolded)

how do you guys sign into opus? did you get a letter by email or snail mail- i havent gotten any confirmation from emory about my application or other materials...

^Neither have I. I e-mailed them about it, and they said they would contact me with login info in "a few days".

Here is what my letter from Emory says regarding retrieving your Network ID and password:

Connect to the internet and log on to www.emory.edue/ITD/newid.html You'll be asked for your birthdate and social security number. If you do not have a US social security number, you will be asked for your birth date and home email address. If you need help, please call the Information Technology Division (ITD) at 404/727-7777 for information about how to proceed. Once you receive your ID and password information, go to www.opus.emory.edu >Learner Services >To Do's to view your application checklist information. You will be receiving updates via email concerning items that may be mission from your application and confirmation when your application is complete. However we encourage you to view the website for the most up to date information. If you check the website upon receipt of this letter, please realize that your application has not been fully processed and complete information will benot be available to you. Please allow at least three weeks for the full processing of your application.<<

(I was able to get the necessary ID and password, without any problem. I am still inside the three weeks, so my list of To Do's includes lots of Have Done's. I'm waiting to see if these go away in a week or two.)

Anyway, decisions for regular admissions aren't mailed until April 1st. So it's time to forget about college for a month or two.

Does it appear online BEFORE you get the letter and when it is online is it yes only or is it yes or no (please be yes)

More than likely it will appear before you get the letter. I'm saying this because I am under the impression that they mail the letter around the same time that they post it online, so obviously you will be able to see it online much faster. That is how it happened for me. Also, it is not yes or no- it is an actual copy of your letter (it seems as if they scanned it or something). Hope that helps you!

Yes I checked OPUS two weeks ago and it says I got accepted. I received an email the day after asking for me to pay deposit but I still haven't received the letter by post :S.

neither do I get the package..

I've contacted the OPUS but they haven't gotten back to me yet :( so I'm paying the deposit by printing it off online
