EmoryUNCDuke:

It certainly doesn't mean denial; I didn't mean to imply that. It just means "not yet accepted."

i've got the same as you sabnetwork, and yes my application is complete

Right; I didn't think you meant denial...it just seems strange to have this link...

maharani, do you have the link to the admissions deposit, or just a note that says application is complete?

so how certain are we that this means aceptance?!

note that says application is complete...if it helps any, i mailed my app dec 23rd...by any chance do all of you who have the link live in the same region or something?

My d's app was posted in early Jan and we are in NC

Well,I don't have it! So, I guess it isn't a general thing, but then again Opus says my Application is incomplete, even though it isn't. (They did send me a letter saying my application was complete.)

i don't have it either

okay but look at sabnetwork's #6 post....under screen 2 it has new--on line payment account. That may be a link to the same thing. Can one of you that don't have the one link check that one out?

As much as I would love to think this is a positive indication, I have a feeling they have set this up on a master thingy or something and are adding people as their applications are being updated.

I've also heard of kids getting newsletters and course guides, even after they've been rejected. (Not Emory)

texastaximom:

I tried clicking on those; I get an access error. Those are for paying recurring tuition bills, not deposits.

yes I just went to check and I got the same access error. But now I am looking at the courses just because it's fun. :)

My S has the link, and since he is pretty sure from discussions with Emory people that he is accepted, the link might mean good news to the applicants that have been processed thus far, but I would also assume that other aplicants will be added as they get to them.

My D has it now too! Hopefully, like everyone says it is good news : ) But guess we will have to wait a few more weeks to know for sure (unless we are lucky enough to get an email!)

Oh, and to the right of her name it says "undergraduate emory college".. do you all have that as well?

Yes, it looks the same here.

I can't help think about my undergrad psych class where we watched a film about monkeys and a hanging strand of bananas, or the rats and the bar they could press for opiates....I am sure Emory must get a hoot out of us, eh?

I called the Emory Admissions office, where one of the phone receptionists answered. I asked about regular decision notification, and she said, "by mail April 1." I then asked about the admissions deposit link on OPUS, and she said "there's no way you can find out about your admission on the computer...and, I don't know what that link means. Thank you. Bye."

mine says no matching values found when i go on learner services, adm, & pay deposit.

lsandin, EmoryUNCDuke and others:

Would you mind taking a screenshot of the page that has the deposit link?

Not that I don't believe you, but it would be helpful to have a picture so people know what they're looking for. There appear to be TWO deposit links; one that everyone has (which leads to "no matching values") and one that only accepted students have.

If you take a screenshot, you can email it to me, and I'll post a link up for others to access on my web server.

Thanks.

I would be happy to do this but I have no idea what a "screenshot" is.. if you can tell me how to do it and I can figure it out, LOL, I will be happy to.
