Opus

Branjo, those things under Finances that you reference also seemed new to me. I wonder if that means anything. I am going to moniter it over the next few days but I don't want to be hasty then be disappointed later. It is still pretty early. 14 days ahhh!

I can access campus event registration but it says there are no events available for registration.

It seems like everyone is in the same boat. Hopefully it will stay afloat. Let's keep everyone informed. I know Emory updates their site during the night, so any changes should usually show up in the morning.

I think everybody's getting a little bit ahead of themselves here --
We still have a solid two weeks left; when I called Emory yesterday to confirm that they had received my first term grades they had literally JUST been place in my file. Remember that their window of opportunity to make decisions is only about half over at this point.

For another thing, as Emory has said that they plan on notifying us of our admission through email, our situation is far different than last year and years prior. These "telltale links" only appeared on OPUS in the middle of December, right around when decisions were mailed out. Hopefully, by then, we will already know if we're in or not (thank you technology).

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as anxious as the next girl, but I just wanted to try and provide everybody with a wee bit of perspective. Prematurely checking for tiny changes on OPUS every five seconds will only freak you out even more. Just take a deep breath, and cross your fingers. Two weeks will fly by. Hopefully.

Little nagler: My son is in a different situation. he is applying as a junior transfer, for him it is rolling admissions after Nov.1. I spoke to the admissions office today and they told me as soon as they receive his midterm grades from the current school he is attending, they will render a decision immediately and inform right away and that goes for all transfers, however it is likely that ED applicants can hear before he does if his teachers don't hop to it. Right now they only have one midterm grade reported and we know for sure that there are at least 2 more in the mail. So, good luck to everybody.

I was not directing my comments at you specifically...just a general reminder to everyone

I know you weren't, sorry for the misunderstanding. Just wanted to explain my son's situation is a little different. Good luck to you littlenagler, I hope you get what you want. What other schools are you interested in? I have a daughter that's senior at UMiami, graduating this spring, finally........

ok so i don't want to jump to conclusions but can every else look through the course catalog for the 2007-2008 year as well?

oh wait...nvm its not the 2007-2008 catalog its just a general catalog, ok scratch that thought out completely SORRY!! i'm sure it means nothing gah lol

OK so I have the links everyone else has been talking about but does anyone else have the link to the "pay admissions deposit online", it says "matching values found" but I can still click on it or can everyone else as well? also I can look through all the tour dates under "schedule a tour", i don't know I'm just throwing out ideas right now cuz i share everyone's mood in this forum right now: jittery/nervous/UGH!!!-i-want-to-know!!! kinda feeling

CORRECTION** it says "no matching values found" under "pay admissions deposit online"

under which section do u see that

Same here "no matching values found:. I would assume when you are accepted that linkl will bring you to the pay deposit online, so the wait continues.

Yeah, I have that too.
This is some of the reactions from last year, it seemed like some people did not have the "pay admissions deposit online" link and some did. Maybe it means something, but we shouldn't take it too seriously...yet.

I don't see that on my page which makes me a bit nervous. But I am going to keep hope alive and not be hasty.

wolfman: click on "open new window"-top right of the main page, and go to admissions from there.

Bingo, thanks Branjo it's there. However, given its obscure location it would seem strange that it would be the precursor to acceptance. Also, it seemed as if the thread which you referenced came to the conclusion that there did not seem to be a correlation between appearance and acceptance. I still remain hopeful, though.

12 more days...~sigh~...

Don't count on early Opus changes as they did NOT occur for ED II last spring.

my opus "to-do" list has remained unchanged since i got my information for it..

it says i need
