Order AOs read applications/essays.

Can I reference a couple of my EC in my essays/supplementals or do you think AOs will have forgotten or not even read my EC by the time they read common app/supplementals? And can I assume AOs have some information given during my common app essay before reading my supplementals? Do they read the common app and supplementals in any given order or is it their choice and random?

Thanks

They will read it all. I suspect the essay rarely comes first, but give a little context if needed in the essay.

Do you know if supplementals or common app is read first? @intparent

I imagine that each admission officer will read things in the order they choose. Unlikely they will forget anything as they spend probably 10 minutes or so on most applications. I’d make sure each essay can stand on its own merits (don’t assume admission officer has studied your ECs prior to reading essay).

They can read in any order they wish. Generally CA before supp bc it contains basic details.
Resist the urge to repeat things or overclarify on the off chance they read out of order. They know what they’re doing.
Be succinct and effective.
