I may call housing to find out this answer. According to housing, you cannot ship large items prior to Aug 17th. But I wonder, how would they be if my son bought one or 2 books on Amazon. The shipping schedule is variable of course, so there is no guarentee on getting books on time if he waits until the 17th. I can understand they cannot store large boxes, but a couple of small book packages wouldn't be too bad - or do you think they will refuse them?

It would probably be better to wait rather than take the risk.

I'm sure that they would refuse them before you moved in.

I would wait until two days before you move in (probably Monday) and try to place the order then. I don't know how good Amazon is in their two-day shipping, but with standard shipping or super-saver they can take anywhere from 24 hrs to 10 days to ship off an item.

Amazon is excellent with their two-day shipping. I've used their services in the past for books and they've never let me down.
