Ordering books. . . dilemma.

Okay so I want to order books off of half.com but I don't know when the optimal time to order them will be. I am moving in on the 24th and classes start on the 27th. If I order them today, I don't want them to arrive when I am not there yet, because we are not allowed to have stuff sent before we move in. If I order then when i move in, there is no way they will arrive before classes start, so what should I do, any suggestions? Other than to order them from the bookstore, they are far to pricey.

send to cal

are you choosing media mail shipping thru half.com? If so, it'll usually take a week for delivery and up to 3 weeks for things on the East Coast. Media mail is the lowest priority shipping offered by USPS.

You could always ask the merchant to ship slightly later too by sending a message...

^

yes. i recommend that too.

I would say you'd be perfectly fine ordering now. It is EXTREMELY rare if not impossible to order from half.com and receive your order the next day. Even if they're close to Berkeley. Use media mall for orders from sellers in or around cali (you can expedite if you order tomorrow) and you can expedite (if you want) anything from the midwest and on.

Oh, and FYI: Unless you have a really really horrible seller, it never takes 3 weeks to ship a textbook from the east coast.
