Orders

I talked with the Naval Sciences Department today. They said they delivered the packets to the Post Office some time ago and the Post Office...did nothing. Sooooo, they were finally mailed out yesterday. He said the papers could be brought to Indoc.

Good we have not received anything yet either. Was wondering where they were.

We have not received the fingerprint or Naval Reserve materials, either. Wisdom teeth were removed this morning, shots are scheduled for Monday morning, dental x-rays are to be picked up tomorrow, and private swim lessons begin Wednesday! Does anyone know if the June 4th date for submitting the medical information means "postmarked" or "received" by June 4th? I don't know why I'm asking, since there is no way we can get it mailed before then!

i had an issue with getting everything turned in as well, so i know what you mean, it's frustrating. what i did was i called admissions and let them know what i was not going to have ready and that i'd send it when i got it
i also faxed them everything so they'd get it quickly, then sent a hard copy just as a back up. makes for much more paperwork than they need, but it covers your back.

Those are great suggestions. We will do all of it! Thank you!

We just received the question form and the fingerprint card Saturday 6/2. Does anyone have a suggestion where to get fingerprints done on short notice?

It's a shame because Alex already has fingerprints on record with Homeland Security due to membreship in Coast Guard Aux...wish those could be used.

call your local police dept (on the non-emergency number <grin>). Explain the situation and I'll bet they will help you out.</grin>

You might also call your school district office. Most schools require fingerprints for all school personnel, substitute teachers, etc.--they may be able to tell you how to get prints done quickly. Our school has its own resource officer, and he can do prints there at the school.

A local recruiting office was kind enough to do it for us, as our local police and the area sheriff office had switched to some new method.

Our son has filled out the Navy paperwork and has been fingerprinted. Looking over past posts on this thread I see several references to the EPSQ disk; however, we can't find any information on that disk in the packet. There are some instructions on bringing the completed form to Indoctrination, as the information will be needed to complete the EPSQ during the first trimester. Is this what everyone received, or is he missing something? Thanks!

yes, he brings the form w him and he will complete the EPSQ disk there.

I spoke with the Navy Dept yesterday and they said not to worry about the DPSQ disk. Just bring the paperwork with them.

Thanks! Sounds like one less thing to worry about, which is definitely nice right now!
