Hello all,
I’ll be attending BU in the fall and I’ll be in Questrom for Finance.
I need to register for orientation, but there are so many dates to choose from and I’m so lost.
Which date is the best to register for?

Here are the orientation dates for Questrom students:
Session 1: June 10 – 12
Session 2: June 17 – 19
Session 3: June 24 – 26
Session 4: July 8 – 10
Session 8: August 26 – 29
My son just graduated this past May, but from what I recall he picked an earlier session because he felt that there was a better chance that he was able to sign up for the courses he wanted without fear that they would fill up. He was a Biochemistry Major, so not sure if that is still the case now, or if that would be an issue for Finance Majors. If this would be something that you would be concerned with I would recommend calling BU & asking.
I’ve decided that I’ll be attending the July 8-10 session, as this is the earliest one that I can attend.
Will there still be good classes availabe?
If July 8-10 is the earliest you can attend then that will have to do.I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You could always call BU and ask about the typical class size for those classes that you will be taking for a Finance major. Orientation will be a lot of fun. I’m currently a rising sophomore in Questrom. I opted for the session toward the end of June and had no problems getting into the classes that I wanted. The only business class you’ll be taking first semester will be Business Ethics (SM131- though they may change the catalog name this year). Your advisor will assign you a section for that class, so you don’t need to worry about it filling up! Your other courses will primarily be in CAS and you shouldn’t have any issues signing up for them as long as you plan ahead. Don’t fret over which orientation session to attend. You won’t have much of an advantage attending session 1 over session 8, etc. If you have any questions, please pm me! 
I’m an incoming freshman as well! I am going to the very last orientation, but I have already registered for all of my classes. To do this, go on to your student link and go to register. Hope this helped!
