I'm an international student living overseas.
I received the letter including comprehensive summary of freshman orientation for 2006.

It says "international students and students living overseas are invited to the 6th session so they need not make arrangements or feel obligated to fly in for one of the earlier sessions."

There's a rumor that class registration is first come first served basis.
So does it mean there could be disadvantages when I select courses because I register late?
(ie, not being able to take popular courses)

I know it takes place during the Welcome Week.
Is Session F any different than Session A~E?
Is it worths flying to New York for the earlier sessions?

yeah. i am in the same situation as you. i asked them about it, and apparently, what you say about course registration is true to a certain extent. however, since we will be only freshmen, there should be many other similar courses under different proff and time slot. i think that it's not the end of the world. i think session F is similar to all other orientations except that u will be already in dorm so there is no need to pay extra $295. u'll probbaly see whole bunch of intl students there too.

i guess if you want to (since u live in canada), it is not too bad compared to myself who has to fly alll the way from Asia (=time, $$$).

and i think that registration is over by now?
