Orientation - Full Program vs. One Day Program

that's true, but science majors would have problems with getting into their GE courses.

There is plenty of time for GEs.

^Do you have to take all of your GE's during your first year? Or can you take a class during summer school, before your sophomore year...?

You don't have to do all your GE's in your first year, I only did 2 my first year

You have 4 years to complete your GEs. At Summer Advising they tell you to take all GEs. IMO you have plenty of time to take them so don't worry about it.

im in group 04 too =) and is the half program really ONE day???

The half program is the same except you do not stay in the dorms. Atleast thats how it was last year.

i'm in group 04 too! woo!

Cool, are you guys staying for the night too or no?

yea im staying the night, i just wish they could cut all the crap and just answer our regristration questions, let us register and let us LEAVE

=(

yeah, I was expecting them to give me a little tour of the campus since I didn't attend the open house thing on april, otherwise it would be a waste of time and money, besides the spending the nights in the dorm part.

they dont give us a tour? i only got to see one part of the campus during that welcome day thing

I thought that they would, but maybe not. I looked at the sample schedule on the orientation registration site and I don't remember there being a tour for us. I think most of the time we will just take tests, talk to couselors, register for classes,... and I guess the free time we have left will be for us to roam the campus.

do i have to take the chem and math tests because the only math im planning on taking is stats17 i think

if you're not going to take calculus then you do not have to take the math test. they will try to force you to take it anyway because people change their majors but I ignored them and did not take it. The only math required for my major is STA 13

I have a question, so you have to choose between taking the foreign language placement test or the math one? I was looking at the sample schedule and it states that you have to choose which one to take. Well what if you want to take both, lol?

@BabyBlue

Orientation is not the only chance you have to take the placement tests.

Whichever test you do not take at orientation you can take during Fall Welcome Week. I would suggest taking the one that is more important to you during Orientation because you wont give a **** during Welcome Week.

^Thanks you guys!
