Orientation question?

Hello,

I know that:

During the program you will:

Learn about academics at the University
Develop an academic plan with an advisor from your school or college
Become familiar with the campus, its facilities, and resources
Meet other incoming students as well as current students
Experience residence hall life
Select and register for Fall 2012 classes

This is just a question but if you register later for the orientation, will you be at all disadvantaged for classes because the people who came earlier gets the classes earlier?

Also, if we want to stay (due to my home being somewhere in the pacific ocean) do we really have to pay 78 dollars a day so that we don't have to go back and come back again? (airplane fee.....) ughh. Please help. Thank you!

Yes to the disadvantage. Don’t you have to sign up for international student orientation? It runs from Aug. 24-29 and then you should be able to move into your residence hall on Aug. 23. You shouldn’t have to pay the $78 a day if you do international student orientation.

What if I’m not an international student? I am a US citizen from an American territory/island called Guam.

I would contact the Office of New Student Programs. They could advise you the best:
