is there a schedule for orientation?
like what time we check in/out
and times of specific things we need to attend

Schedule: UC Davis Orientation - Freshmen Program

Things to Bring: UC Davis Orientation - Freshmen Student Items To Bring

I just got back from orientation and there are several advice I'd like to give to people who will be attending orientation.

First of all, there is really no need for laptop unless you can't live a day without internet. I was stupid and brought my laptop, all it ever did was sitting in my closet.
Second, and I think it's fairly important: GO TO LECTURES. I was under the impression that the lectures would be boring; luckily I decided to attend all the lectures on the second day. They really help you in many different ways. Yes, it's tiring sitting there for five hours, but it's worth the time. Especially if you want to get serious and get on track.
Third, do spend time looking over the fall course catalog. Your orientation leader will make you list as least ten classes and as many as twenty just in case you can't register for your first choices. It's going to take a LONG time to figure out...don't let people do it for you.
Finally, your orientation leader will help you with any questions. They are students themselves (or have graduated from Davis), so they know their way around. ASK, listen, and learn.
