i picked an early time for orientation. is it necessarily true that i would have a better chance of getting the classes i want?

if I want to take Calc 3B my first quarter do I need to get a later orientation date so that they have my AP score? when’s the earliest i can sign up so that they have my scores?

you dont have a better chance of getting classes. there is a set amount of spots each session can take for a class im pretty sure. and that’s how it should be.

Bring a mouse (any wireless/wired optical USB mouse) when you go to orientation.

That way, while everyone will be trying to register for classes with slow trackpads on loaned laptops, you can gobble up your desired classes much faster than everyone.

Trust me on this advice. I wish I did it back when I did orientation. -__-

is that for all the lower division classes?

how many spots are allocated per section for each orientation session?

Too few, like 10ish or less per class

I signed up for orientation in August because that’s the only time I can fly to CA, since I’m from out-of-state. Will that affect my chances of getting into the classes I want?

Also, how hard is that Calculus Placement test? I took ACP Calculus this year and got both As in each trimester, but that was during 1st nd 2nd trimester (it was only a 2 tri class). I haven’t had math for a good 3 months lol!

Haha last question: I got an iPad for graduation =) should I take that with me to orientation to sign up for classes, or should I just bring a laptop?

It is easy, don’t worry.

does anyone know if there is a placement test for computer science?
