<p>When does the enrollment pathway let you register for an orientation? Is it one whole day? What do you actually do during it? When do you recommend scheduling the orientation for? Is the earliest date available the best? </p>
<p>I'm a transfer and a New Jersey Stars student, by the way. Will my orientation correspond with this? Will it be with other transfers or nj stars students? Will it be different from freshman's orientations?</p>

<p>You can register for any one you want, although I think that they have ‘recommended’ dates for schools like business and pharmacy where more of those students will attend. I think it is about two days (you stay overnight on campus).</p>
<p>Orientation is not mandatory. If you ask they will tell you that important information is given out during this time but it isn’t the only time you will hear it, as they imply.</p>
<p>My son’s friends went and they did a lot of ‘team building’ type of games. They were housed in buildings with no AC that were extremely hot during the summer (Lynton Towers?)</p>
<p>I know the staff works very hard to make orientation successful. Some people really enjoy it and others don’t.</p>
<p>I think there were special sessions for transfer students. When I was signing up I remember them being in August</p>
<p>This was the message for last year:</p>
<p>“All new students are expected to register and attend a Summer Orientation session. New students will be able to register for Summer Orientation through the Enrollment Pathway after May 1st, 2010.”</p>
<p>So they probably haven’t posted the schedule yet for this year.</p>
<p>I found a listing for 2009 and they had 2 sessions for “Transfers and Adult Students” (one in July and one in August) although I am guessing that you could go to any session that fit your schedule.</p>

<p>Thanks, I just really wanted to know when they would actually be because I’m going away for a month to Europe in the summer, and then to Cali and Vermont in two separate weeks. So, it would be good to know early just so I don’t plan something when the orientations are. </p>
