Orientation

I am going to orientation #7, and I was wondering what goes during orientation? Thank you

Apparently, this is what happens (copy-pasted from the welcome to bc group on facebook):

"You do a ****load:
Sign up for classes
Sit in Robsham Theatre for skits
Go to mass (on the first day)
Tour newton campus
Have breakfast
Have lunch!
Have dinner too
Listen to Father Joe speak (probably the only downside of orientation)
Listen to Father Himes speak (if your lucky)
Have a bunch of discussions
Play some ice breakers
Play spoons (at least I did )
Bask in the awesomeness that is BC's campus
Meet with academic advisors
Meet with other students from your school (A&S, CSOM, etc...)"

note these are not my personal opinions, lol

do you have to go to mass? I am not a Jesuit or Christian

im wondering the same thing too... im definately not a religious person. am i able to skip out on mass and just tour the campus?

they are definitly not going to make you go to the mass. it is open to all though and it says it begins the orientation. so i guess if you want, you can pick up with everyone after.
"Registration for each session will begin on Sunday at noon and continue until 2:00 p.m. Each session will begin with a Sunday liturgy in the Catholic tradition. All are welcome. After mass, everyone will share dinner followed by an evening program with faculty. After the faculty program, parents and guardians will leave for their respective lodging. Students will remain on campus for a continuing program late into the evening."

hmmm, where do you get this information from? because i would like to read it all first hand

you dont have to go, but almost everyone does, regardless of affiliation

im a muslim too, and i personally don't think its wrong to go to mass, I mean since everyone else is going anyways. think of it more as a religious social... besides ive heard that the chuch in bc is beautiful
