Hey guys! I'm registering for CTOPS, and I have a question for anyone that has some experience with the event.

Is it actually necessary for my parents to attend? They'll be traveling to Chapel Hill with me for the two days I'm there; however, I don't want them to pay $185 bucks to sit in on an information session or some other unnecessary thing like that. Having your parents attend the actual event is optional, so I'm guessing it isn't a life or death kind of deal if they aren't there. We've been to other events that Chapel Hill hosts (Tar Heel 101, Scholarship Day...) and I think they pretty much know everything they need to about student life. However, if there are papers that they HAVE to sign during orientation or something of that sort, then that's another story.

Thanks!
