Is it really necessary to bring transcripts? Mine aren't available yet.

I called a few weeks ago about the same question, (my son doesn’t get his final transcript until the end of June, and his Orientation days are the 14th & 15th) and they told me to just have him bring his most recent progress report to Orientation. Also, on the last days of classes, have all your teachers write on a paper your grades in their class, and bring that with you to Orientation. But yes, you do need some sort of proof of your grades as well as your SAT/AP class scores.

Eek. Thanks so much :)

I don’t think you need your transcript unless you’re earning some sort of college credit. I brought my high school transcript and my ACT scores, but they never asked for it.

@Mizz Yeah, I guess so. I brought mine too but nobody cared :P

I never needed my transcript, SAT scores, or AP scores or anything…you really don’t even have to take the math placement test if you already know which class is right for you. They don’t really need it.

^

They say that if you don’t take your math placement exam, you cannot start out with any math course higher than college algebra. But then again… who’s really paying attention anyway.

I skipped the second half of orientation on the first day, and all I had to do was make it up in a 20 min session. Not saying anyone should skip… but waking up at 5am and driving to Orlando, then going on for 12 hours was just too tiring for me.
