OSU Fisher or Purdue Krannert?

Ohio state Fisher college of business v. Purdue Krannert college of business. Has anyone ( or anyone’s kid) been accepted to both? Which did they choose and why? My son Is having a hard time deciding. (We are OOS for both, and they would cost us pretty much the same). Any advice welcome!

Your son’s indecision is understandable. Both are solid business schools. Purdue Krannert is stronger in quant related areas, while Ohio State-Fisher is strong in logistics / supply chain management and in operations management.

I’m also a current senior deciding between these two schools and a few others. We visited Krannert earlier this month and liked the general facility and thought the people were quite nice. However, I did remove Purdue from my list shortly after as I’m instate for OSU and knew I could get the same or better there. From what I’ve heard, OSU seems to be more highly rated for Business than Purdue, but not that much different overall. I’m not in Fisher at OSU, since I was looking for a Data Analytics major with a possible concentration in business as OSU has. Also, from my experiences with both campuses, I would have to say I prefer OSU to Purdue as I feel OSU has a better overall layout. Both are great options so you can’t go wrong, but these are my 10 cents worth.

Thanks for this insight! He also got into University of Kentucky, Gatton business, Honors SEAM program. Do you think the honors distinction at Kentucky makes it more attractive, even though the business school is not rated as well as OSU or Purdue?

The Scholars in Engineering and Math Honors program at Kentucky-Gatton is worth considering if the courses are of interest to him & in line with his career objectives.

How does the COA among these three options compare ?

Is your son interested in engineering ? If so, then this program may dilute that career path.

COA is same across all three. Engineering is not his primary path, but he might minor in it to get a job in finance in an industrial setting.

Thank you!! A GREAT 10 cents!!
