<p>I’m not sure how to explain this but, a friend of mine had an interview with an alumnus and was told that if she were in the honors program that certain AP credits would not be counted as replacements for her general classes (in particular, the history APs) but would instead be counted as elective credits. She was told it was because honors students have different, more difficult GE requirements and the classes that the credits would replace are the easier courses that are not even required for honors students.</p>
<p>Is this true? I was under the impression that to be in honors the only requirements were to keep up a high GPA and to take a few honors courses per semester, not a whole new list of required general courses…</p>
