Hi,
I am currently at UNC at Greensboro and I applied to transfer to OSU. I will have to send my high school transcript and act scores because I only have 16 hours.
HS GPA-2.9
ACT-23
College GPA-3.14 <---- may be a bit higher or lower but estimated
Also, what are my chances for transferring to IU, Purdue, or Maryland?
I applied as an International business management major.
Thanks!

I’ve been told that OSU is fairly lenient with transfer student applications, but your scores from high school would not have been high enough to be admitted as a freshmen, and your college GPA isn’t stellar either, so I’m not sure you stand a good chance of getting in as a tranfer.

Also, if you are serious about majoring in international business, I’m not sure OSU would be an excellent choice. The Fisher College of Business is well-respected, but the international business program here is tiny (only 2% of business students in that major), and I don’t often see recruiters looking for students with that major. The accounting program here is really well-regarded, and other popular major choices include finance and marketing, if you are considering different business majors. If you are passionate about international business, I suggest you try to get into a more well-regarded program for that specific major, because it isn’t one of the business majors that are particularly in-demand.

I’m applying as a transfer OOS community college student from Texas.

Completed semester hours: 27
Cumulative GPA: 3.889
I currently have a part time job as an administrative assistant at a local business, and I am the vice president of our Phi Theta Kappa chapter.
Pretty good essays and recommendations

What is going to kill me is my high school records. I didn’t do that well in high school.
GPA: 3.7 Weighted
SAT: 1570 (not a good test taker)
Really good extra curricular activities

What do you guys think? I’ve heard it’s easier to gain admittance as a transfer, but I think my high school records will put me at a disadvantage.
