If you were accepted early decision do you have to retract your other applications?

Yep, it says so in the agreement on the CommonApp.

pedrossi is absolutely correct.

From collegeboard.com:

"Early decision plans are binding. You agree to attend the college if it accepts you and offers an adequate financial aid package. Although you can apply to only one college for early decision, you may apply to other colleges through the regular admissions process. If you're accepted by your first-choice college early, you must withdraw all other applications. Usually, colleges insist on a nonrefundable deposit well before May 1."

There's no legal action they can take, though; you're a minor, so you can't sign a legally binding contract. I suppose they could put in a negative word for you at other schools, but I'm not sure that's enough for another school to say "no, you can't come here."

That said, Rice is awesome, and if you were admitted ED you should absolutely come here.

If I remember right, your parents and guidance counselor have to sign it as well.
And though they might not take legal action (though they could), it is well within their powers to release your name to other universities in the same tier. Though I'm not 100% sure if that's true, I have heard of colleges raising red flags in your applications to other schools when you decide to ignore the ED contract and not enroll (unless you ask them to release you from it for financial reasons, which is rare).

Bottom line: Rice is awesome, just withdraw your other applications and come to Rice. By not withdrawing, you're just taking up someone else's spot anyway, who will agonize in the waiting list until you withdraw your app.
