If I were to apply for financial aid to Cornell, but not receive it, would I be able to apply for financial aid again in my sophomore or senior years?

Yes, all you need to do is fill out a fafsa and css before the deadline. Send tax returns and you will be considered for F/A. There are times that you may not qualify for freshman year but when an sibling starts school, you may then qualify.

You can, especially if your family’s financial situation should change, but not if it stays the same. Financial change maybe 1) more students in college, 2) loss of job.

Thanks for the feedback guys. So if I don’t apply for FA now, do I forego the opportunity to apply for FA in the future?

Not at all. Each year is looked at independently.
Good luck

Thanks maxsdad

If you don’t mind, can you tell me where you got this info from? I can’t find it on their website.

Through my experience and research over the years. (3 kids attending 4 different universities and financial aid offices). I recommend that you call the FA office at Cornell at 607-255-5145 to confirm any information you may get on CC. They will be your best resource and hopefully answer any questions that you may have or address any special situation of your family. Good Luck
