We have to wait until May to hear about acceptance for next fall. Other people in this position.. do you think we'll have ANY housing options left?

housing is guaranteed, so you'll have some sort of option, though I don't know how many options.

I am currently an NYU student, and one of my friends just transferred in as a junior. He got housing at 26th street, which is pretty far from campus. Bus service is offered to and from campus, so i guess it isn't too bad. A lot of transfers get put in Water Street as well because its a huge dorm (with 30 something floors, right overlooking the hudson), but water street is also a half hour bus ride away from the square. so it seems as if there will be housing available, but you wont be guaranteed the best housing or the dorms closer to "campus". good luck with transfering!

wow what is the deal do transfers just get kinda screwed on housing everywhere? So far, the only school on my list that has been good about housing (as in reserving great spots for transfers) is Wesleyan. To me, these things give me an idea of how much the university actually cares about its transfers and will make my choice easier come May.

I just wanted to mention that even if your housing placement is not ideal, it is possible to be able to apply for a room or building change after the housing freeze is over several weeks after the start of the semester.

thanks that is good to know.
