Other than Carnegie Mellon ...

I know it's a little bit late in the game to be figuring this out! I applied ED to CMU and I'll be quite sad if I don't get in. :( HOWEVER, it's time to face reality and find backups!

Here's what I like about CMU: strong comp sci program, strong humanities, small size, urban, focused on studying but still the oppurtunity to party a little bit :)

Any suggestions?

ugh I hope I get in too. I'm also applying to Wharton but I'm a business student (applying to Tepper). Maybe you should apply to some Ivies too?

okay, I chose CMU for largely the same reasons you did. Here's my list of schools:

Brandeis, Brown, CMU (obviously), Rice, Stanford, University of Rochester, Yale

good luck!!

Lots of kids who apply to CMU also apply to Brandeis, Rochester and Case Western. Good luck.

YAY! I've got 2 out of 3... awesome

Thanks guys! :) I'll look into those schools, the last three especially.. Do you know if any of them are recognized for their comp sci degrees?
