other than grades, what is important to admission?

Academics would be #1, but what about after?
I know you need community service, music, and sports but which are the best?

I personally love to play the violin but I know I won’t be the best. My community service is playing violin in a quarter for senior centers.

I also play tennis, but it isnt my favorite thing in the world. I’m on varsity and my coach told me I would be a captain next year, but its honestoy not my favorite thing to do.

I don’t think ill quit any of them but in your opinion, which is the most impressive?

Probably team captain but it would depend on the college. It’s kind of scary the level at which your ECs need to be to impress top colleges. State champion, competing in national or international level competitions. Often, doing things outside of school is helpful

I would say whichever you put the most time/effort in. So if someone asks you how such activity has affected you you should be able to explain extensively. Emphasize what you like even though you might not be the best at it.

I would talk about the activity you are really dedicated to or that you really love. A lot of colleges want to see how you’ve spent your free time and if you are really passionate about something (even if you aren’t necessarily the best at the activity). It’ll also help in writing your essays.
