I called the admissions office today to ask about some extra references I had sent in and they said that my file was out. Now, I know they aren't making decisions already, but what does that mean in general?

I'm guessing it just means the officers are giving it the first run through, but some clarification would be nice. Oh and does anyone have any information about how Princeton does its readings...I know that there has been information about Harvard and some other schools floating around....

Don't worry about your file. They're probably still
a) sorting it (adding recommendations, making the master card...)
b) allocating it to the appropriate reader (by region, by experience...)

Try calling back in a few days; they may be done by then.

Oh. Well, the lady who I spoke with said that it was complete in terms of required stuff. One of my extra references wanted to make sure her letter got there so I was just checking. I won't lie though, it was a bit of a rush thinking that an officer could be reading about me right now...;)

Don't think that way! The more you think that way the more bad vibes you send out... the more bad vibes you send out the worse karma you have... the more bad karma you have- I don't even want to think about it! :(
