Out of state acceptance rate for UC Irvine

I’m from New Jersey and I’m interested in UC Irvine for college. Since this is a public school and part of the UC system idk how competitive it is for OOS students.

  1. What is the out of state acceptance rate?
  2. Would I have a good chance with a 95 GPA unweighted (school doesn't use weighted but I took advantage of all AP/college classes I could) and a 1450 SAT

OOS acceptance rates for UCI are higher than in-state but this is due to a smaller # of applicants along a lower matriculation rate due to costs.

UCI offers little to no financial aid to OOS students so you should expect to pay around $65K/year to attend.

UCI OOS admitted stats are higher on average.

UCI admits into the University first and then into the major. They also consider alternate majors but some students will be admitted into Undeclared and then will have to try and change majors.

Major choice is important so impacted majors such as CS/Engineering/Business Admin/Biological Sciences will be a more competitive admit.
