Does anyone know how much harder it is for out of state students to get in? I know that the school talks about how they're dedicated to California students first but I haven't heard anything specific about how that changes acceptance rates and such for out of state applicants.
Thanks!!!

If you are full pay it may help your chances.

If you check the posted link, you will see the admit rate for OOS students was 20% and In-state California 18.9%, however; the amount of applicants for in-state was around 44,000 while OOS was 17,000.

Thanks @Gumbymom that’s interesting, I was expecting the opposite.

In California, the admission rate is lower for in state than oos due to the population. Nevertheless, the admission stat is higher for oos. So it does not really make it easier to get admitted into UCs from oos with the same credential.

It is now considerably easier to get in as an OOS student. The admission stats actually understate this. All UC campuses are ramping up the number of OOS students. It’s all about money.
