does anybody know anything about the acceptance rate for out of state early action applicants? i heard it was pretty low.

I don't know but I'm guessing it'd be higher than OOS regular applicants.

i actually heard that there isnt much difference between applying early action and applying regular for OOS..?

I was deffered early then accepted regular if that helps any. Im from NY

I think most OOS applicants apply early action.

I definitely advise ed for oos.

the out of state acceptance rate is around 18% from what I have heard. I don't know what it is for early action, though.

18% is the max percentage of kids that UNC can legally take from out of state into their freshman class. 82% of the kids admitted to UNC must be from instate (according to North Carolina law).

yeah i know; i have also heard that the acceptance rate for out of state kids is sub 20% (17-19%).

yeah collegekid12 is correct, it's in that range

a lot of the OOS students who apply early action have strong stats, so i dont think applying early makes much difference if you're OOS. of course, applying early is better
