Hi, My name is Joe and I am interested in transferring to top private schools after two years of CC. I want to know which CC is the best at going to top private schools and have good atmosphere..Thanks!

well…actually I want to go to CC in CA…but is there any college that has many out of state residents coming to CC in CA? Thanks! :]

California is a bit tooo big buddy. Can you specify where in California you plan to live? Maybe the viewers of this post can give you more information. I live in Southern California, there are lots of great CC campuses here.

This is the same plan I’m taking!
I’m from Las Vegas, senior. Yay for class of 2010
Which universities did you want to transfer into? It just depends on where you want to go and what you want to do.
Best bet is Santa Monica College. They have the highest transfer rate into many California universities (such as UCLA and USC).
I’m not nervous about the move; meeting people has never been hard for me. I’m just worried about where I’d live and who I’d room with.

California had really good community college system, if you want to go to UC Berkeley, you can try De Anza, which is said to be the leading institution that have the total number of students transfer succesfully to UC Berkeley as well as other UC and CSU campuses. MiraCosta College is also a good choice. My friend told me that it is harder for student who study out of CA to transfer to UC rather than those who study right in CA.
Hope that helps!

By the way, which state are you in? You could try CCs in Texas or in New York. They have pretty the same cost and good univerities to transfer to :)
