<p>so yea i was wondering are more public schools increasing their rate of accepting out of state students so they can get more money. i have been hearing the public universitites especially state collges have been taking budget cuts</p>
<p>Some states have caps on the number of OOS they can take. Other states, most notably California, have recently expanded the number of OOS it will accept in order to get the higher tuition dollars. Given the OOS demand for top tier California schools like UCBerkeley and UCLA, I don’t know that it will significantly alter the statistical profile of the students getting admitted. Of course, since they’re trying to get the higher dollars don’t expect any financial aid (except loans) to offset the cost.</p>
