I'm from Indiana and I was curious to see how many kids are going to UMASS from other states.

According to [Student Body and Admissions Statistics | UMass Amherst Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.umass.edu/admissions/facts-and-figures/student-body-and-admissions-statistics), about 17% of undergrads are from OOS.

I think a lot of the OOS students are from the New England area, but it’s still easy to find people from other states. I’m from somewhere besides New England, and I’ve met a few people in my class (Class of 2015) from California already!

I was accepted from California

Accepted from Connecticut! Not far, but still OOS

My D was accepted from NJ

I was accepted from NY

UMass has decided to gradually increase the OOS enrollment to 30% as a way of increasing revenue.

I was accepted from ny

Wonderful, so more out of state kids for more money.

Exactly–use the OOS tuition to subsidize the in-state kids

I was accepted from NJ!

I am a senior, and my freshmen roommate was from Oregon, two friends are form New York, one from India, one from Hawaii, and Illinois. The current class of students is more diverse. There are many people from UMass but there is a lot of different groups of people.

Accepted from CT!

i find out pretty soon but most likely i’m going there and from new jersey!

Ughhzz I haven’t found out yet?!?! :o
I’m from florida!

me neither (NJ)

Got my acceptance today, CT.

Got accepted yesterday, but I’m not that much “out of state”. I’m from Rhode Island, lol.

Just got my acceptance letter today, from North New Jersey.
