OUt of stater chances at UVa?

ok. my updated stats are:

SAT I: 1370 (710M,660V)
SAT II: 690 Math IIC, 680 Writing, 670 Chemistry
GPA: 3.91 weighted
rank: 44 of 344, or top 12.7% (in other posts i put top 12% and rank 41, but i messed up)

Will my rank kill me?

It won't kill you but it certainly isn't going to help you. Nothing about your application from a numbers stand point really pops out in comparison with other out of state applicants. If you were in state I would think you had a good chance but out of state is really difficult.

Five from my class applied ED. Two legacies admitted, three defered until spring.

well, im sending in my app tomorrow! and my teacher recommendations on jan. 5..

good luck!!! hope to see you in the class of 09!

ok sorry. im sending my app tomorrow now...no mail on christmas day lol. I hope to make it into the class of 09! lol. thanks for the luck! (i will need it badly)

ha good luck neelesh im applying too. Please tell me how good of a chance i have. Im a white kid from south NJ.

SAT:

M-710
CR-660
W-720

SAT IIs (not so good)-

math 2- 630
chemistry- 660

weighted GPA- 98.4286 (I dont know what that is out of 4)
Rank- 24 out of 607... so just barely top 4%

some good ECs like national honor society, interact club, varsity tennis captain

Also, I am hoping (if I get in) that this school will not financial f!@$ me over like the ivies. I just finished the FAFSA and it said my family can afford $50,000 when they only make about 120,000. anyone have any information?

this is a REALLY old thread and i'm thinking that the numbers are higher now
