Hello,

I am over the word limit by 100 words for a writing supplement and really have no other way to cut it down. If I send in my supplement over the word limit, will it be cut off so the admission people can't read it? Thanks.

Hello,

Are you using common app? Usually apps like that won’t let you send it over the limit

Please follow the directions and do not go over the word limit.

I’m using the common application. I’m trying to answer one of Brown’s supplement essays about why I want to go into a specific field but they only gave us 150 words! Do you think I should e-mail brown admission about this?

Generally you won’t be able to submit any application if you go over the word limit, an error will appear. Stick to the word limit!!!

Don’t go over the limit! And do not email Brown Admissions.

Don’t email Brown admission about it. Your time would be better spent asking others for advice on how to cut it down so that it’s under the word limit or trying to cut it down yourself.

It’s ALWAYS possible to cut it down

CUT IT DOWN. do not send them an email about it they will be annoyed.

Why would you email Brown about it? 150 words is the limit for that prompt. Were you going to ask them to change their application requirements? I agree with the above posters. There are always ways to cut down an essay. There’s a reason why redundancy is one of the most thoroughly covered errors on the ACT.

hahaha yeah. I guess i’ll just have to work on it. Thanks everyone!
