I am interested in applying to Princeton SCEA, and have already visited the campus, but I would really like to get to know the school better to make sure I'm making the right choice. On the website I can find neither any information concerning overnights nor an email address I can send this question to. Does Princeton offer official overnights or allow unofficial ones?

I’m not certain of it, but I think that they do not offer official overnight stays throughout the year. I do know that if you are admitted, you are invited to stay 2 nights with an undergrad for Preview.

^This is true. However, if you happen to know somebody, you can ask them if you can stay with them for a night. Unofficially. This lets you see a whole other side of campus other than what the University throws at you during Preview and official visits. For instance, the campus tours don’t even go to the lower campus, where all the residential colleges are (except Rocke/Mathey).

The colleges used to have a set program but probably due to the # of requests, they eliminated it. When I was applying and the dinosaurs roamed the earth, all I did was call the various admissions offices and they gave me the contact info of a Frosh who had volunteered to host overnight visitors like me.

Since there is no “official” overnight*, obviously Princeton doesn’t care about them.

*not including NCAA athletic recruit visits however.

I am going to to stay with a friend who is a current new student from my school. I am not going to do a tour, my my friend will pretty much show me the campus and I get to shadow her.

Thought you weren’t applying anymore?
