Unfortunately I can’t make it to previews, but I visited yesterday and scheduled an overnight visit. Can anyone shed light on how they work and how they are? Thanks
I couldn’t go to previews either and it’s not a big deal. The visit is a little less organized - be prepared for your host to sort of leave you to do your own thing - but you can definitely get a good feel for the school. Just contact the admissions office, they’ll set you up.
Okay cool, leave you to do your own thing though? Should I make appt with professors or something? Or do I shadow a few classes?
Yeah definitely email some professors who are teaching classes you’re interested in, especially during classtime when your host will likely be in class. Other than that, bring some homework (your host will probably have work to do, just ask if you can work near/with him/her), but your host will at least introduce you to people who have time to show a prefrosh around. It’s a good experience, and definitely shows you more of the actual day to day life of a Williams student than Previews does, but it’s not quite as much fun or as inspiring. Definitely recommended though!
