OVT buffet?

I heard that OVT is changing into a buffet next fall. Is this true?

It seems so.

https://www.facebook.com/ucsdhousingdining/posts/10152091462245068

How much will it cost?

7:30am–10am=$7.95/person
11:30am–2:30pm=$8.95/person
5pm–9pm=$10.95/person

Seems pretty expensive to me…

Seems pretty expensive to me too

I even can’t eat one dinner a day.
I am from TMC apt, so I have only $2200 to spend.
2200/3 semestrs/90 days = so I have only $8.20 a day to spend

That seems like a fair price for buffet food. Other UC’s charge about $10 per swipe. It sounds like a good place to go every couple days and get those fruits and dairy we’re deprived of during the school year. I wish we had this when I was still living on campus.

Wow, OVT is actually opening 7:30-9? That’s an improvement…

but yeah, I do think that’s a pretty fair price compared to what other UCs charge. Then again, I’ve heard at other UCs the food can actually be delicious and not frequently give you food poisoning and homesickness…

let’s all just be glad we won’t gain the Freshman 15 here :)

this is actually pretty cheap from my cheap from my experience. my friends who keep a good balance diet with salad costs around 10 dollars for a small meal anyways.

This is the most true statement I have ever heard on this forum. Thank you sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
