<p>Does anyone know how to sign up for owl days 2009? I emailed an admissions officer and she said i had to register online, but I can't find it on rice.edu. Has anyone registered yet?</p>

<p>If you have been accepted then you have a sign in they sent so you can register. If you have not yet been accepted you can't register for Owl Days.</p>

<p>im in a similar position, i received the dates but still have no log-in...everytime i try to call the admissions office about it they yell at me or direct my call endlessly lol. any suggestions?</p>
<p>Don't worry if you can't register yet, i mean a good amount of people are RD...they still don't know if they have been accepted. I say wait until RD and then start worrying :D.</p>
<p>it's just incredibly frustrating to have to wait until the last minute (when rates are wayyy more expensive) to book a flight to houston. i already have been accepted and i havent gotten any emails or anything from Rice in forever.</p>

<p>i have to completely agree with you on this. just in the last 2 days, the ticket to houston has gone up $50 for me. so i tried to call the office to see when the program actually starts so i know when to arrive, but they gave me a useless response and i still don't know when the program starts. at this point, i probably just wont go... yea, im annoyed at their office.</p>
<p>edit: does anyone know what time it starts by the way? i know its 4/8 to 4/9, but i hope it doesnt start in the morning since my earliest plane to rice arrives at 2pm</p>

Check in was from 8:30-1:00, but events started at 9. Once again it's an OLD schedule so we'll see what happens this year.</p>

<p>i also received an email on 2/25 saying:</p>
<p>"You recently received a message which included information about the upcoming Owl Days for students admitted to Rice. The date information in that message was incorrect: this year, Owl Days are taking place Wednesday and Thursday, April 8 and 9. As described earlier, the Owl Days program is especially designed for admitted students to meet faculty, learn about academic options at Rice, and to spend a night in a residential college, getting to know our current students.</p>
<p>We apologize for the incorrect information and hope that Rice continues to have a place in your spring planning. You will be receiving your official admission decision in just a few weeks."</p>
