I now have an owl box of matches, a tiny owl sculpture, an owl trivet, an owl watch, two stuffed owl toys (one from the Rice bookstore) just to name a few ...

It it true that there was once a big cage on campus which a trio of owls called home?
Where? When? Really?

Anybody else collecting owls?

I heard the live owls resided by Lovett College. I wish we still had live owls. Luckily, the Houston Zoo is close by, and has Rice-looking owls.

This is thread is painfully stupid.

I love Rice, and am very grateful to the opportunities it has afforded my two kids - but I’m not actually a fan of the owl graphic and mascot. Different strokes for different folks! ;)

There’s an article in the latest Rice Magazine about President Leebron’s owl collection :)
