I’ll be in Montpellier this summer! I’m also doing the Paris Connection, so let me know if anyone else is too! I’ll be taking "At

Are you guys referring to the Oxford Royale Program or…?

Anyways, I got accepted into ORA, I will be attending this summer for 13-15 year olds.

Anyone going this summer?

I’m heading there for July 17-31

To Everyone going to the Montpellier (abbreviated MTP) and the Paris Connection: I went last summer and had a wonderful time. I still remember all the wonderful times I had. I have no real complaints about it at all. The dorms are not the best in the world, but they are far from being unclean. I would consider bringing a Swiffer because the sand from the outside is easily blown into your room from the window, which you want to keep open because the buildings don’t have air conditioning. (This is the norm all throughout Europe, not just in this building).

Classes: I took French Language Intermediate and Photography. French Language was relatively easy and we went out on field trips to explore the culture and the language. We used our verbal language skills quite often because there were many classes where we went out to a caf

I will be going to Montpellier this summer, too. I will be taking Medical Science as a major and International law as a minor, hopefully. I am really excited. I heard a lot of good things about this program.

For all those going for Oxbridge summer programs, from what I know from the different companies’ websites, I think Reach Cambridge is the program that’s worth the price.

I know that certain schools in my country specially arrange for students to go for Reach Cambridge. Perhaps this is a sign that it’s better?

Is anybody flying from Chicago to Paris and then to Montpellier?

I went to the Oxford Tradition last year on a full scholarship, $7,125. My mom makes about $40,000 a year. how many full scholarships do they give out every year? Anyone know?

It’s not worth it. These programs are run by companies not by the schools.

If you really want to go, try Reach Cambridge. My classmates recommended it.

Hi I want to apply to the oxbridge academic program ( the nyc college experience) and I need some help! is it hard to get a full scholarship? what should I write in my personal statement? is the program worth it? what should my parents incomes be to get a scholarship?
I’m one of the top students in my class and I’m taking the international baccalaureate…I’m currently in 10th grade

any tips? or maybe an application sample? thank you

@ 0589ya I did L’academie de paris in 2010 and literally wrote my application in two hours. that is not to say it was bad, I just knew what I wanted to say. I’ve lost the personal statement, but really don’t worry about it, especially with you being in IB.
The program is definitely worth it, at least Paris was. It revolutionized the way i thought about art, society, and thinking in general. I also made great friends from 6 continents. I suggest applying and just don’t stress!

Hello, I know it was a while back and it may seem a bit rude for me asking this but I am applying for a scholarship this year and I was wondering whether you could tell me your grade average… Did you receive top grades in every subject? Or was it only in the subject which involved the courses you were applying for? Thank you

Heey,

I am a MYP5 student (doing the IB) from the Netherlands and I am also rather interested in a scolarship to The New York Experience with Oxbridge… My grades are not amazing… however, I do quite a few extra-curriculum activities. I was wondering if there were anyone else who got accepted with scolarshipes to the New York Experience? And could you comment on how it went and what grades/factors Iin your opinion) got you the scolarship?

Thank you!

Is anyone considering doing La Academia de Espa

^ you do know that the main language spoken in Barcelona isn’t Spanish but Catalan, so if a big reason for you applying is the language skills you’ll get, maybe it’s worth reconsidering

Ok so, I’m a ninth grader taking AP classes in a private school, and my GPA is a 4.7.My family makes $40,000 a year, and i’m white. I have several community service hours, and am very involved in my school with several clubs and sports. I also got a perfect score on the high schoool entrance exam when I was trying to get into the school I am in now. Based on the people’s said experiences here, what are my chances of getting a full scholarship to the Oxford Prep Experience and Paris Connection? Also, do I have to turn in just a scholarship application, or a scholarship application and a regular application? Also, do I have to do the Oxford Prep Experience, or can I apply to the Oxford Tradition program? Please reply quickly. Also, I’m applying for the theatre or creative writing categories. Do they fill up quickly?

If you are a rising sophomore, you will attend the Oxford Tradition. Oxford Prep is for rising 8th and 9th graders. I’m attending the Oxford Tradition, hope to see you there!

Hey guys, I’m thinking about applying to the 2014 New York College Experience; does anyone know what the acceptance rate for this would be? I have average grades, but a great personal statement, letter of recommendation, and great extra-curriculars. Do you think I’ll be able to get in if apply within a month?

So I am also interested in attending this summer as well, but I am not too sure because my parents think its too far , and pricey. Does anyone know if you admissions has anything to do from the background you come from and type of school , like private o public?

I think they mainly take whoever can pay, but I still wanna know the acceptance rate; do you know what it is?
